Origin
The Galapagos Islands belong to Ecuador. On San Cristobal Island, a handful of plantations grow organic coffee on volcanic soils, in an equatorial climate tempered by the ocean. Production is very limited, which explains the rarity of this cru.
On the palate
The cup is delicate and balanced. Citrus comes first, followed by stone fruit. The acidity stays soft and the finish is long. Drink it without sugar to appreciate its delicacy.
How to brew it
Brew it as filter coffee or in a French press to preserve all its finesse. In a moka pot, use slightly less coffee and heat gently so as not to overpower its aromas.
Moka pot method: fill the base with water up to the valve, add the ground coffee to the filter basket without tamping, then heat over medium heat. Take the pot off the heat as soon as the coffee starts to gurgle, to avoid bitterness.
Order whole beans for a bean-to-cup coffee machine (De’Longhi, Krups, Philips…) or a grinder, or choose the grind that suits your brewer: espresso machine, moka pot, filter or French press.

Frequently asked questions
Why is Galapagos coffee expensive?
Production on San Cristobal Island is very small, and the coffee is organically grown. It is a rare cru that is hard to find in Morocco.
Is it a strong coffee?
It is aromatically intense (6 out of 10) but not bitter. Its strength comes from its fruitiness, not from bitterness.
Which grind should I choose for the San Cristobal Galapagos Organic?
Brew it as filter coffee or in a French press to preserve all its finesse. In a moka pot, use slightly less coffee and heat gently so as not to overpower its aromas. Choose whole beans for a bean-to-cup machine or a grinder. Otherwise, pick the grind for your brewer: espresso machine (fine), moka pot (fine to medium), filter (medium) or French press (coarse).
Can I drink the San Cristobal Galapagos Organic with milk?
We recommend drinking it black to enjoy its notes (citrus and stone fruit). Milk masks some of its finesse, but it is still pleasant with a dash of milk.
How many cups per bag?
A 125 g bag makes about 17 espressos (at 7 g per cup), and a 250 g bag about 35.
How should I store the San Cristobal Galapagos Organic?
Keep the bag tightly closed, away from air, light, heat and moisture, at room temperature rather than in the fridge. Once opened, enjoy it within 3 to 4 weeks to get the most out of its aromas.
Where can I buy the San Cristobal Galapagos Organic in Morocco?
On ticafew.ma. The San Cristobal Galapagos Organic is artisan-roasted in France and delivered anywhere in Morocco within 2 to 5 days from Agadir, with cash on delivery. Delivery is free on orders of 350 DH or more.
