How to choose coffee beans or ground coffee in Morocco
To choose the right coffee, look at five criteria: your coffee maker (which determines the grind), the taste you want (smooth, fruity or bold), with or without milk, organic or conventional, and the size (125 g or 250 g). The quiz above combines your answers and suggests 3 100% Arabica coffees from our range, in the right grind. Here are the details of each criterion if you'd rather choose for yourself.
1. Your coffee maker determines the grind
- Espresso machine: fine grind, for a short extraction under pressure.
- Moka pot: fine to medium grind, slightly coarser than for espresso.
- Filter coffee maker: medium grind, similar to sand.
- French press: coarse grind, for a 4-minute steep.
- Coffee grinder: choose coffee beans and grind just before brewing – that's how the aromas are best preserved.
All our coffees are available as whole beans and ground for these four methods.
2. Taste: smooth, fruity or bold
- Smooth and chocolatey: low acidity, notes of cocoa, hazelnut or caramel. The most crowd-pleasing profile, ideal for beginners. Examples: Brazil Santos, Colombia Excelso ORGANIC, Peru HB ORGANIC.
- Floral and fruity: brighter, with notes of flowers, citrus or red berries. For coffee lovers who enjoy their coffee black. Examples: Ethiopian Mocha Sidamo ORGANIC, Kenya AA, Kalico from Burundi.
- Bold: more body and intensity, spicy or woody notes. Examples: Sumatra Gayo Mountain ORGANIC, Papua New Guinea.
3. With or without milk?
Milk softens and masks some of the aromas. For a café au lait, a nouss-nouss or a cappuccino, choose a bold or chocolatey coffee that keeps its character. Floral and fruity coffees are best enjoyed black, to appreciate all their finesse.
4. Organic or conventional?
A large part of our range comes from certified organic farming: find it in our organic coffee collection. Organic or not, all our coffees are 100% Arabica from selected terroirs.
5. 125 g or 250 g bag?
The 125 g bag (from 60 DH) is perfect for discovering an origin or comparing several coffees. The 250 g bag (from 95 DH) works out around 20 to 25% cheaper per kilo: the right choice for your everyday coffee. Once opened, keep the coffee away from air, light and heat, and drink it within the following weeks to preserve all its aromas.

Frequently asked questions
Which coffee should I choose as a beginner?
Start with a smooth, chocolatey coffee such as Brazil Santos or Colombia Excelso ORGANIC, in a 125 g bag. Low in acidity and round, they appeal to most people, black or with milk.
Which grind for a moka pot?
A fine to medium grind. Choose the “Moulu Cafetière Italienne” (ground for moka pot) option on the product page: we grind it for this method.
Is it better to buy coffee beans or ground coffee?
Coffee beans keep their aromas longer, as long as you have a grinder. Without a grinder, coffee ground for your coffee maker is the simplest solution.

At Ti Cafew, our 100% Arabica coffees roasted in France start at 60 DH for a 125 g bag and 95 DH for a 250 g bag. Exceptional coffees, such as Jamaica Blue Mountain, cost more.
