Origin
In Papua New Guinea, coffee grows in the highlands, often in small family gardens. The trees descend from Typica plants brought from Jamaica. The harvest is done by hand, resulting in carefully prepared, very consistent lots.
On the palate
The cup is harmonious: almond and toasted bread lead, supported by a light red-berry acidity and a spicy touch. With an intensity of 7 out of 10, it is one of the boldest coffees in our range.
How to brew it
Its body makes it an excellent coffee for the moka pot and espresso machine. In a French press, it reveals more of its fruity notes.
Moka pot method: fill the base with water up to the valve, add the ground coffee to the filter basket without tamping, then heat over medium heat. Take the pot off the heat as soon as the coffee starts to gurgle, to avoid bitterness.
Order whole beans for a bean-to-cup coffee machine (De’Longhi, Krups, Philips…) or a grinder, or choose the grind that suits your brewer: espresso machine, moka pot, filter or French press.
