Origin

Blue Mountain coffee comes from the Blue Mountains in eastern Jamaica. The name is protected: only coffee grown within this defined area may bear it. Production is small, making it a sought-after cru around the world.

On the palate

The cup is remarkably smooth: no pronounced bitterness, a discreet acidity, and notes of hazelnut and honey. It is a coffee of balance rather than power, best enjoyed black.

How to brew it

Save it for filter coffee or the French press to enjoy its finesse. Soft water and freshly ground coffee make all the difference.

Moka pot method: fill the base with water up to the valve, add the ground coffee to the filter basket without tamping, then heat over medium heat. Take the pot off the heat as soon as the coffee starts to gurgle, to avoid bitterness.

Order whole beans for a bean-to-cup coffee machine (De’Longhi, Krups, Philips…) or a grinder, or choose the grind that suits your brewer: espresso machine, moka pot, filter or French press.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Blue Mountain so expensive?

Its name is protected and its production very limited. We sell it here in 125 g bags, a size for discovering it.

Should I drink it with milk?

We recommend it black, without sugar, to appreciate its smoothness and honey notes.

Which grind should I choose for the Jamaica Blue Mountain?

Save it for filter coffee or the French press to enjoy its finesse. Soft water and freshly ground coffee make all the difference. Choose whole beans for a bean-to-cup machine or a grinder. Otherwise, pick the grind for your brewer: espresso machine (fine), moka pot (fine to medium), filter (medium) or French press (coarse).

How many cups per bag?

A 125 g bag makes about 17 espressos, at 7 g of coffee per cup.

How should I store the Jamaica Blue Mountain?

Keep the bag tightly closed, away from air, light, heat and moisture, at room temperature rather than in the fridge. Once opened, enjoy it within 3 to 4 weeks to get the most out of its aromas.

Where can I buy the Jamaica Blue Mountain in Morocco?

On ticafew.ma. The Jamaica Blue Mountain is artisan-roasted in France and delivered anywhere in Morocco within 2 to 5 days from Agadir, with cash on delivery. Delivery is free on orders of 350 DH or more.
