Origin
In Tanzania, coffee grows on the slopes of Kilimanjaro and in the southern highlands. Bourbon is a heirloom Arabica variety, known for its sweetness and complexity. The AA grade refers to the largest bean size.
On the palate
It is one of the most powerful coffees in our range (7 out of 10) and the highest in caffeine (1.40%). The cup is bold and floral, with a clear acidity and a long finish.
How to brew it
It is perfect in a moka pot or as espresso for those who like strong coffee. As filter coffee, it shows a more floral side.
Moka pot method: fill the base with water up to the valve, add the ground coffee to the filter basket without tamping, then heat over medium heat. Take the pot off the heat as soon as the coffee starts to gurgle, to avoid bitterness.
Order whole beans for a bean-to-cup coffee machine (De’Longhi, Krups, Philips…) or a grinder, or choose the grind that suits your brewer: espresso machine, moka pot, filter or French press.
